Native to Fiji, the Bongo Chilli is a delicious and beautiful habanero with a sweet, fruity taste. The Bongo Chillies used in FIJI FIRE are hand selected by knowledgeable Fijian farmers who know we only accept the freshest and best Bongos for FIJI FIRE.

" When I was told I should get my hands on a bottle of this it was a foregone conclusion that it would happen. Made from naturally brewed vinegar, fresh Fijian bongo chillies, carrots, wild Fijian turmeric and Tasman sea salt, the ingredients list is simple and all natural. As expected, high vinegar tones to start followed by the fruity flavour and heat of the bongo chillies. A subtle sweetness is added thanks to the inclusion of the carrots. There is a mild earthiness in the scent and flavour of the sauce due to the turmeric. The heat builds at the centre of the mouth before slowly moving to the front and finally settling on the lips. A very enjoyable sauce to test straight out of the bottle, would be perfect with some grilled fish and would complement a sweet and sour dish nicely. Heat rating 6/10, flavour 8/10."
